This knife is a Pitbull!
I've never been so impressed by a knife with a blade length of around 3". The knife was so sharp out of the box that I could easily shave hair off my arm. I now have a bald spot on my arm, but well worth it! Next, it's virtually impossible for this knife to slip out of your hand because the handles just "grab" your palm and hold your hand in place, even if it's sweaty. The bottom of the handle contours to the shape of a closed fist so well that "death grip" is the best analogy I can find to describe how well it stays in hand. I've duplicated all of the stress tests for this knife that can be found on Youtube and it passed with flying colors (even the spine whacking test). The locking mechanism on the AK makes for absolutely zero blade play in any direction. Lock this knife, and it feels like a fixed blade. The wave feature works perfectly, but the attachment on op of the blade is removable, if you so choose. One handed deployment is easy, but the lock is SO strong, that...

The Mini AK-47... It has the WOW factor!
It was a little pricey, but given the AUS8 blade material and the G10 coated handles I thought I'd see what the AK was about. WOW! This knife is super high quality. The blade action is the smoothest I've used as it effortlessly glides open and locks sturdily in place with no mechanical advantage or spring assist. If the full size version of the AK wasn't illegal in my state (blade length), I'd order it in a heartbeat. The cost of the mini was roughly twice what I usually spend on an EDC, but man-o-man, so worth it. The grip is super grippy despite not having a rubber handle and the lightweight materials do not sacrifice quality in the least. It feels like a well engineered piece of equipment. My 17yo son is begging me to give it to him. Sorry kid. Another reason get a job (LOL). Buy once, cry once, use it forever. Peace.

Product Description
In 1947 Mikhail Kalashnikov, the legendary Russian gun designer, created the AK-47 assault rifle. Eventually adopted by the Red Army in 1949, it became famous as the -InchPeople's Rifle-Inch. Such renown was well deserved, as it was an utterly reliable weapon. It was rugged, simple to operate and maintain, economical, and effective at reasonable ranges. This weapon, and all it represents became the inspiration for our heavy duty tactical knives, the AK-47 folders. Designed by Andrew Demko, the AK-47's possess all of the attributes of their namesake, and perhaps a few more. They're built for hard and rugged use and are available in two sizes. Both sizes have many features in common. For instance, both are equipped with G-10 handles that offer a vigorous grip that is remarkably tough, rigid and incomparably strong. Also, each size comes with a unique pommel made out of 6061 aluminum. The pommels feature a lanyard hole and can also serve as a -Inchless than lethal-Inch percussion tool in a self-defense situation. Top to learn more
Legendary Russian gun designer Mikhail Kalashnikov created the AK-47 assault rifle in 1947. Adopted by the Red Army in 1949, the rifle earned a reputation as the "people's rifle." The Cold Steel Mini AK-47 heavy-duty tactical knife pays tribute to the famed assault weapon, with a similarly rugged, economical, easy-to-operate design.
Designed by knife designer Andrew Demko, the Mini AK-47 knife is built for hard and rugged use, with a hollow-ground 2-3/4-inch blade that's honed by hand until it reaches levels of sharpness usually seen on a surgeon's scalpel. The blade is made from Japanese AUS 8A stainless steel, which is vacuum-heat-treated and sub-zero-quenched for maximum toughness. The blade's black Teflon coating, meanwhile, boosts corrosion resistance, enhances cutting power, and improves edge retention.
The blade is supported by Cold Steel's state-of-the-art Tri-Ad lock, which has been tested to resist shock induced by blows on the spine or over-strike that lands on the handle. The Mini AK-47 supplements the blade toughness with a rugged, rigid, and incomparably strong G-10 handle. Finally, the Mini AK-47 comes with an ambidextrous pocket clip and patented thumb plate. The thumb plate has a dual purpose: It allows you to draw and quickly open the knife by snagging it on the edge of a pocket, or you can use it like a conventional thumb stud or disc for easy one-handed opening.

Not too shabby
After much research I chose this knife as my first EDC. So far it has been just about everything I expected, and I really like it. For its small size it is impressive, lightweight and sharp. The handle wears perfectly and the finish on the metal wears ok. I love how with the specially shaped thumb shelf I can "wave" the knife off my pants upon drawing it, deploying the great blade faster than a spring assisted or automatic knife. I have had it for 4 months and there is no rust or discoloration on the metal despite extensive wear in the Florida climate. The g10 handles seem extremely durable and have sandpaper like texture. I think it will last forever. I love how in its simplicity, it matches speed with automatics and excels in lock strength and stiffness.I had to dock a star because after not to long I had to tighten the main pivot screw, and the thumb notch became ever so loose. Also it developed a rattling when shaken side to side which I can't trace but which seems to...

Nice AK Cleaning Kit
I really like this AK-47 cleaning kit. The cleaning rod can be extended long enough to clean the inside of a SKS barrel as well and has a handle on one end to make it easier to pull if it gets stuck inside the barrel. Also included is two sized brushes that attach at the end of the cleaning rod good for removing particles. It comes with a plastic oil bottle and a toothbrush with two bristle heads, one bristle head is real small to get into tighter crevices. A handful of swabs is also thrown in.The Nylon pouch seems heavy duty. Everything fits in there nice and tight. There's not much room to put anything else. Maybe some paracord or string. Submerged underwater and everything inside will get wet so things like matches would be out of the question. Its also not made to easily carry. It has one strap in the front that I can barely stick my finger through, let alone a belt. I would throw this in a bag if in the field. CutleryUSA also thrown in a product magazine... We have been given access to a limited supply of East German Army issue AK-47/59 Bayonets. These make an excellent collectible piece, or a fully serviceable daily blade. The included original issue sheath can be configured with the bayonet to form a pair of wire-cutters. While most of these are in excellent condition, they are the real thing and appearance varies. We cannot accept returns for cosmetic variations. 6" blade. 10 3/4" overall. Top to learn more
Good Knife
i ordered it on jan 15 and got it on the 17, when the estimated delivery time was jan 24-feb 8 (standard shipping)... good knife, real sturdy sheath. blade was not too sharp but the tip was good, serated edge was really sharp. Over all it is a good buy and I am glad I bought it. Top to learn more
good value
The one I received was in good condition and functioned flawlessly after sharpening the blade. Quality purchase for the cost. If your AK has a muzzle break, this bayonet probably won't fit. Top to learn more

Really cool bayonet
This bayonet was a great little addition to my WASR-10 AK. It fits perfectly and the blade is in wonderful shape. The sheath and handle are in pretty worn shape but what do you expect for something of this age. If you are looking for a good original bayonet for your AK you can't go wrong with this one. A quality knife that is light and does the job!
I love this knife...it is good quality steel for blade and the design overall is very well thought out. I especially love that it is light weight overall and comfortable in my pocket. The grip is great but the handle on the clip side, does tend to tear up my 511s hmmm I will try and smooth it out with sandpaper or maybe some jb weld. I am pleased with purchase overall.
